Biographical Information[edit]
Pitcher Lee Howard spent three years in the United States Navy in the Pacific Theater of War from 1943 to 1945, during World War II.
Howard pitched 5 total games for the Pittsburgh Pirates in 1946 and 1947. He pitched 3 games in 1946, and 2 in 1947. He was 0-1 in 1946, and had no decisions in 1947.
Howard spent five active seasons between 1942 and 1949 in the minor leagues with a 39-33 record in 151 games while pitching 668 innings. His best season came in 1947 when he went 13-6 for the Selma Cloverleafs of the class B Southeastern League.
