Biographical Information[edit]
Outfielder Lee Handley played in the minor leagues from 1956 to 1961.
He began his career with a .360 batting average, .542 slugging mark and 16 home runs for the Paris Lakers in 1957 and followed that with 18 home runs in 1957 and at least 17 dingers in 1958 (statistical information is incomplete for that season). In 1959, with the San Antonio Missions, he slashed .322/.407/.480 with 14 home runs in 131 games. On April 8, 1960, he was traded from the Chicago Cubs system with infielder Johnny Goryl, pitcher Ron Perranoski and $25,000 to the Los Angeles Dodgers for infielder Don Zimmer. After a couple relatively down seasons, he career ended after 1961.
