Biographical Information[edit]
"Larry Daniels is the best base-runner among the Kansas Citys." - Sporting Life, July 18, 1888
Larry Daniels played a couple of seasons in the American Association with the Baltimore Orioles in 1887 and the Kansas City Cowboys in 1888. He had played at Macon in 1886 and after his time in the majors played at Worcester.
While he was at every position other than pitcher during his time in the majors, mostly he was split between catcher and outfield. He also umpired a couple of games in 1887.
The SABR biography of Frank Cox indicates that Cox, Daniels, Frank Selee, Emmett Seery and others played for the Waltham Watch Company ball club in the early 1880s.
He was usually called "Larry" in the press. After baseball he became a "prosperous mechanic" in Boston.
