Biographical Information[edit]
Catcher Larry Howard, who played four seasons in the majors, had a notable rookie year when he hit .307/.378/.443 with the Houston Astros in 1970, albeit in less than 100 at-bats.
He backed up Johnny Edwards from 1970 to 1972. On the Astros, he was one year younger than Joe Morgan and one year older than Bob Watson.
He played for Caracas in the winter league of 1970.
