Lane Jackson

Outfielder Lane Jackson played for the Canadian national team's first incarnation.

He hit .304/~.371/.510 for the 1960 Kindersley Klippers, driving in 18 runs in 15 games to lead the Northern Saskatchewan League in RBI. The next year, his .407 average was second in the NSL behind John Pepin. He batted .287/~.366/.416 in 1963 and .281/~.359/.386 in 1964. In 1965, he hit .316/~.425/.379 and stole 14 bases.

Jackson hit .390/~.524/.537 for the 1967 season and swiped 16 bases in 26 games. He was .010 behind batting leader Norm Angelini. He played for the inaugural Canadian national team, at the 1967 Pan American Games. In 1968, he hit .326/~.436/.457. During 1969, his batting line was .272/~.416/.333. In limited time in 1970, he was 8 for 25 with 12 walks in 10 games, scoring 10 runs. With Kindersley in 1971, he batted .313/~.444/.425.
