Biographical Information[edit]
Kyu-jin Yun is a relief pitcher whose fastball has been timed at up to 93 mph.
Yun debuted with the Hanwha Eagles in 2003, going 0-1 with a save and a 6.43 ERA. In 2004, he was 3-4 with 3 saves and a 4.57 ERA. He improved to 4-4, 5 Sv, 3.34 in 53 games for the 2005 Eagles. He did not pitch in 2006, presumably due to military service. He appeared in eight contests for Hanwha in 2007, going 0-1 with a 3.95 ERA. Yun went 5-2 with a save and a 3.76 ERA in 42 games in 2008. He was a late addition to the South Korean provisional roster for the 2009 World Baseball Classic but did not make the final cut.
Yun imploded in 2009, going 1-4 with a 7.26 ERA, 70 hits and 41 walks in 53 1/3 IP.
