Biographical Information[edit]
Kyle Leon played for Team Canada briefly. He spent his first two college seasons at Charleston Southern University. In 2002, he hit .309/.379/.438 for the University of Alabama-Birmingham. As a senior, he batted .346/.438/.607 with 57 RBI in 53 games.
Leon played for the Guelph Royals in Canada's Inter-County League in 2004. He then signed with the Edmonton Cracker-Cats for 2005 and hit .299/.372/.474 with 15 RBI in 20 games. Kyle split right field duties with Jeremy Ware for Canada in the 2005 Baseball World Cup. He went 3 for 11 with six walks, a double, 5 RBI and 3 runs as a solid producer. Leon drove in 4 of his runs in a win over the Chinese national team.
