Biographical Information[edit]

Pitcher Kyle Haynes was taken in the 20th round of the 2012 amateur draft by the Pittsburgh Pirates and began his professional career that year. He was mostly used as a relief pitcher his first three campaigns, posting a 2.38 ERA in 41 games his second season. In December 2013, he was traded to the New York Yankees as the player to be named later in a deal that sent catcher Chris Stewart to Pittsburgh. He was selected to play in the Arizona Fall League in 2014 and in 2015, he reached Triple A for the first time. After struggling in 2016, spent mostly at Triple A, he was demoted and began 2017 playing High A ball.
