Biographical Information[edit]

Kuo-Chan Ni played and won a Gold Glove in the TML.

Ni was signed by the Taichung Agan when they were founded in 1997. He batted .199/.254/.255 in his rookie year. Due to his weak batting, Ni didn't have many appearances in the rest of his career. He only got 93 at-bats in 1998, and decreased to 76 at-bats in 1999. The Yunlin native finally got the mainly backup infielder spot in 2000. Although he only had 125 at-bats, he was still selected into the All-Star Game. He ended up batting .208/.265/.264 this year. Ni won his first personal award -- a Gold Glove as a third baseman in 2001, but his batting line was still a terrible .223/.260/.289. He announced his retirement after 2002 season, and became a junior baseball coach.

Overall, Ni had hit .206/.262/.254 in six seasons in the TML.
