Biographical Information[edit]
Kuniyoshi Kawabe was an infielder who represented Japan in the 1976 Amateur World Series, 1977 Intercontinental Cup, 1978 Amateur World Series, 1979 Intercontinental Cup and 1980 Amateur World Series. In the 1978 Series, he batted .342/.444/.368 with ten runs and eight RBI in ten games, fielding .943 as Japan's starter at short. He played for Mitsubishi Kobe in the Industrial League after college.
