Biographical Information[edit]

Pitcher Kris Ralston played parts of five years in the Kansas City Royals chain.

After attending the University of Central Missouri, Ralston was taken by the Royals in the 21st round of the 1993 amateur draft. He made his pro debut that summer with the Eugene Emeralds, going 7-3 with a 2.74 ERA in 15 starts. The next year, he posted a 10-4 record and a 2.39 ERA for the Wilmington Blue Rocks. He had success at the AA level with the Wichita Wranglers in 1995, going 9-4 with a 3.56 ERA. However, he underwent several arm surgeries and only pitched in 3 more pro games after that season.

Ralston died in 2015 at age 43.
