Biographical Information

Koya Chinen pitched in the CPBL for 2 years.

Chinen pitched for the Niigata Albirex Baseball Club for 2 seasons, and the Uni-President Lions signed him in 2018. He went 5-1 with a 3.10 ERA in the minors, and he led the league in starts, strikeouts and innings. He also started one game with the big club, but he allowed 7 runs in 4 2/3 innings. Chinen then had a 10.38 ERA in 13 games in [[2019 CPBL|2019], then he announced his retirement.

Overall, Chinen was 2-3 with a 11.48 ERA, struck out 16 and pitched 13 1/3 innings in 2 years in CPBL.
