Konrad Kainz
Biographical Information[edit]
Konrad Kainz played for the German national team in four events. Judging from his defensive stats (47 PO, 2 A, 3 E in 26 G), was most likely an outfielder. He was 1 for 4 in the 1960 European Championship, 4 for 12 with a walk, run and three RBI in the 1969 European Championship and 2 for 20 with a walk, 3 runs and two RBI in the 1971 European Championship (though Germany did get the Bronze in the latter event). He hit .132/.154/.132 in the 1972 Amateur World Series, his last competition for the national team.
Overall, he had hit .162/.195/.162 in 26 games for Germany, with 4 runs and 7 RBI. His performance in German domestic competition is unknown from online records (as of August 2015).
