Biographical Information

After playing for Mitsubishi Motors Mizushima in Japan's industrial leagues, Koichi Ozawa was drafted in the 4th round of the 1987 NPB draft. He would play only one game for the Yomiuri Giants, going 0 for 1 in 1993 and spent the rest of his career in the minors before retiring after 1994. He briefly appeared in the US minor leagues, batting .286/~.318/.381 in 24 games as an infielder for the 1989 Visalia Oaks.
