Biographical Information[edit]
Kinya Toki was a pitcher who represented Japan in the 1977 Intercontinental Cup and 1978 Amateur World Series. In the 1978 Series, he had a 1.80 ERA in two outings. He played for Kobe Steel in the Industrial League after high school. The Kintetsu Buffaloes drafted him in the first round of the 1978 NPB draft. He only pitched a inning in 1979. Although he won the ERA title in 1981, he still wasn't called back to the big club, and he announced his retirement after the 1982 season.
