Kintetsu Pearls

From BR Bullpen

On November 26, 1949, the Kinki Nippon Railroad, abbreviated as Kintetsu, was awarded a franchise in the newly formed Pacific League. The company had already owned a team during World War II, Kinki Nippon, when it had merged with Nankai Electric Railroad. The nickname was decided through public voting, with the name Kintetsu Pearls being chosen. After nine years, the team's name was changed to Kintetsu Buffalo in 1959.
