Biographical Information

Outfielder Kimani Newton was a 21st-round draft pick of the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 1996 draft. He played five seasons in the Dodgers chain, never advancing beyond the high Class A level. In 328 games as a minor-leaguer, he hit .252 with a .342 on-base percentage and .340 slugging percentage.
