Biographical Information[edit]
Catcher Kevin Richardson went 2 for 4 with a run scored in his first taste of major league action with the Texas Rangers on August 17, 2009. Called up because Jarrod Saltalamacchia was placed on the disabled list, he was outrighted back to the AAA Oklahoma City RedHawks immediately after his debut when the Rangers acquired Ivan Rodriguez from the Houston Astros to share catching duties with Taylor Teagarden in their push for the American League wild card.
