Biographical Information[edit]
Kevin Leighton is a college coach.
Leighton, a catcher, was picked by the Philadelphia Phillies in the 30th round of the 1997 amateur draft. He did not sign and continued on to Seton Hall for college.
From 2002-2005, Leighton was assistant coach at Manhattan College; he got his master's degree his last year as assistant coach. He became head coach in 2006 and won a school-record 35 games in 2007. He tied the mark again in 2009. After going 200-119-1 at Manhattan, he was hired as head coach of Fordham University for 2012, replacing Nick Restaino.
