Biographical Information

Kevin Koentopp played one seasons in the minors; his father Larry Koentopp was a college coach and minor league owner. He started in the outfield for the 1986 Spokane Indians, drawing some flack because his father had formerly moved a team from Spokane to Las Vegas. He hit .280/.383/.318 with 44 walks and 42 runs in 70 games while fielding .970 in the outfield. He stole 6 bases in 6 tries but had no hit farther than a double.
