Biographical information[edit]

Kevin Alexander is a former minor league infielder who played from 2000 to 2003 in the San Francisco Giants farm system.

He was drafted in the 26th round of the 1999 amateur draft and began his professional career the next year. He split the 2000 season between the AZL Giants (14 games, .419 average), Salem-Keizer Volcanoes (24 games, .182 average) and San Jose Giants (2 games, .167 average). He hit a combined .270 in 40 games, showing a good eye at the plate - he drew 27 walks and had only 15 strikeouts in 115 at-bats.

With the Hagerstown Suns in 2001, he hit only .229 in 83. He improved his average in 2002, hitting .288 in 97 games for the Suns. In 2003, his final season, he played for the AZL Giants (3 games) and the Suns (72 games) hitting a combined .278 in 75 games.

Overall, he hit .268 in 295 games over a four-year career.
