Kenneth Hatcher became head coach of Miles College in 2000. He was 35-61 in his first 3 seasons then improved to 102-42 from 2003-2006. He remained through 2016, with a school record of over 350 wins including a record 32 wins in his last year. He was named Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Coach of the Year 3 times. He also was battalion chief for the Birmingham Fire and Rescue Service.
