Biographical Information[edit]
Ken Polivka was a multi-talented athlete growing up in Chicago and played baseball, football, and basketball in high school. During his prep career, he also pitched a no-hitter. He won a scholarship to the University of Illinois but interrupted his studies to serve in the Navy during World War II.
After his baseball career ended, Polivka worked in sales for the Zenith company. He also remained active athletically, winning several golf trophies.
