Biographical Information[edit]

Ken Johnson played for the Hazard Bombers in the Brooklyn Dodgers system in 1951 and 1952, hitting .236 in 71 games the former year and .298 in 118 games the latter. That season, he also walked 197 times and stole 42 bases. According to his obituary, his ratio of more than 1.6 walks per game is the highest in baseball history.

The World War II veteran hit .274 overall.
