Biographical Information[edit]

The Pittsburgh Pirates drafted Kelson Brown in the 34th round of the 2010 Amateur Draft from Linfield College. Brown played in the Pirates' minor league system from 2010-2015 and reached AAA in his final season. Brown was a versatile player who played all the infield positions except catcher and also played some games in the outfield. Brown even pitched two innings with a stellar ERA of 0.00. As a hitter, Brown batted .270/.324/.333 over his seven minor league seasons.

In 2016 Brown served as a player/coach for the Bristol Pirates. He returned to Bristol in 2017 as the team's hitting coach in what turned out to be his last professional baseball endeavor.

According to his LinkedIn page, Brown joined a medical device distributor in 2018 and rose to President of a similar company in 2021.
