Infielder Kelly Wingo played 8 seasons of minor league ball. With the Muskogee Reds in 1947, he hit .316 and led the Western Association with 187 hits. Two years later, with the Chickasha Chiefs, he paced the Sooner State League with 123 runs scored. At the end of his playing days, he spent two seasons as a player-manager in the Sooner State League.
