Biographical Information[edit]

Keith Nicolls pitched in the minor leagues from 1951 to 1953 and from 1956 to 1957. He finished his career with a 76-29 record and a 2.90 ERA. Particularly notable are his 1952 and 1956 campaigns -- in the former, he was 24-8 with a 2.97 ERA for the Midland Indians and in the latter, he was 14-6 with a 1.75 mark in 149 innings for the Wellsville Braves. He led the Middle Atlantic League in winning percentage in 1951 with a .867 mark.

He played basketball in college and coached high school baseball and basketball. He taught at Conneaut Valley High School for over 30 years. He served in the US Navy.
