Biographical Information[edit]

Keith D'Amato was an Olympic pitcher.

D'Amato won 20 games as a high school pitcher and also was a quarterback in football. He had a 2.07 career ERA in college. He then went to pitch in Italy. In 1983, he was 9-3 with a 3.74 ERA and 94 K in 110 2/3 IP for Nettuno. He was 1-0 with a 2.16 ERA for the Italian national team in the 1983 European Championship, which Italy won. He had a 8-8 record for Nettuno in '84 and pitched one shutout inning against Taiwan in the 1984 Olympics.
