Kavanaugh Field
Kavanaugh Field was the home of the Little Rock Travelers in Little Rock, AR until 1932 when the team moved into Ray Winder Field. The Travelers moved out of Ray Winder Field in 2007 when they moved into their current ballpark Dickey-Stephens Park.
It was known as West End Park until 1915. The field's name was changed to Kavanaugh Field in 1915 when the President of the Southern Association and Little Rock native William M. Kavanaugh died suddenly in February of 1915.
The exact date of when the ballpark was built is unknown. References to "West End Park" in Little Rock are known to go as far back as 1894, when the original grandstands were probably built.
The field was located on near Little Rock Central High School. After the 1931 season, the Travelers left the field and sold the property to the Little Rock Central High School. Quigly Field, home football stadium of the Little Rock Central High School Tigers, was built in 1937 on top of where the field was.
