Biographical Information[edit]
Outfielder Katsuji Kojima played in Nippon Pro Baseball for 3 years.
Kojima was signed by the Hanshin Tigers in 1952, and he hit .281/.374/.456 whiles leading the Central League with 10 triples in his rookie year. He slumped to .227/.300/.363 with 6 triples in 1953, and he tied Tetsuharu Kawakami, Shinsuke Yogi, Takashi Iwamoto and Tokuzo Harada for 3rd in triples. Kojima recorded a .280/.349/.379 batting line in 1954, and he left the Tigers after this season.
Overall, Kojima hit .260/.341/.404 with 171 hits and 18 triples in 3 years in NPB.
