Biographical Information[edit]

Karl Condon was born in Ireton, Iowa, and raised in Timber Lake, SD. He moved to Proctor, MN in 1926, where he worked as a carman for the Duluth, Missabe and Iron Range Railway for 26 years before retiring in 1965. He was the manager of Proctor's semipro team in 1939 and was a founder of Proctor Little League in 1964. He was a charter member of the Proctor Baseball Hall of Fame in 2020.

His professional baseball career included playing for the Aberdeen Boosters in 1920; Bismarck Capitals in 1923; Grand Island Islanders and Norfolk Elk Horns in 1924; and Superior Blues in 1933 and 1936.

His sister, Clara Blasingame, was a writer of Western stories. Her novel, The Luck of Lost Canyon, was published in 1954.
