(Redirected from KSTW)

CW 11 is a former television home of the Seattle Mariners. It has gone through many changes in branding in its history. It was known as KTNT-TV from 1953-1974. Beginning in 1975, the station took the call letters KSTW and referred to itself as KSTWashington. In 1995, it shortened its branding to KSTW 11. When it became a CW affiliate in 2006, it was rebranded as CW 11; the station's new logo and branding debuted on the Mariners Bullpen Show.

Taking over for KING 5, KSTWashington began broadcasting M's games in 1981. KIRO TV 7 took the reigns after the 1985 season, but KSTWashington took over again for the 1989 season, and continued through 1992, when KIRO took over again. Beginning in 2000, KSTWashington, now simply KSTW 11, resumed broadcasting games. Beginning in 2001, FOX Sports Northwest was broadcasting nearly every game, leaving KSTW 11 to handle games in which there was a scheduling conflict on FOX Sports Norhtwest. This agreement lasted through the 2007 season, when FOX Sports Northwest, now FSN Northwest, gained exclusive rights.

Away from the diamond, this station has gone through many affiliation changes. It was a CBS affiliate from 1953-1961, and again from 1995-1997. It was an independent station from 1961-1995, a UPN affiliate from 1997-2006, and since 2006 has been a CW affiliate.
