Biographical Information[edit]

Justin Willis was born in Crockett, Texas on August 17, 1988. As a child, Justin played three sports, baseball, basketball and football.

Willis attended Grapeland High School in Grapeland, TX. He earned a scholarship to play college baseball at Jarvis Christian College in Hawkins, TX, competing in NAIA Division I. He played with the Bulldogs for three seasons. He was primarily a relief pitcher in college. He was named to the Red River Athletic Conference Scholar-Athlete Team 2007-2009.

Willis went undrafted and signed his first professional contract in August 2011 with the Pecos League of Professional Baseball Clubs. He played for the Carlsbad Bats in 2011 and for the Raton Osos in 2013 and 2014, before appearing with the Las Vegas Train Robbers in 2015 and the Santa Fe Fuego in 2016. All of his stints in the league were brief.
