Biographical Information[edit]
Pitcher Justin Martínez was an outfielder as an amateur player in the Dominican Republic before being signed by the Arizona Diamondbacks and scouts Cesar Geronimo and Jose Ortiz. He was immediately converted to pitching based on his athleticism and arm strength. He earned his high school diploma at the D-Backs Dominican Academy, which also provides educational facilities for the players who are enroled.
