Biographical Information[edit]

Justin Kaye pitched 3 games in the major leagues for the Seattle Mariners in 2002, a team that won 93 games. His minor league career went from 1995 to 2005. Except for 1997, all his appearances were as a reliever.

Justin was born in Florida and went to Bishop Gorman High School in Nevada. He was picked by the Mariners in the 19th round of the 1995 amateur draft. He was in their organization through 2002. During 2003-2005, he was in the organizations of the Chicago Cubs, Boston Red Sox, New York Yankees, and Pittsburgh Pirates.

He earned 70 saves in 417 appearances in the minors. A highlight was in 1998 in Single A when he appeared in 28 games, with a 1.71 ERA, 9 saves, and a 6-2 record. In 2000 in Double A he had an ERA of 2.67 in 50 games. In Triple A at Pawtucket in 2003 in 31 games, he had an ERA of 2.49.
