Biographical Information

The son of Garry Hancock, Justin Hancock was selected by the Anaheim Angels in the 15th round of the 2002 amateur draft and played two seasons in their organization. He became a deputy with the Hillsborough County Sheriff's office in 2008. He was diagnosed with bone cancer in June 2012, dying 10 months later at the age of 33.
