Biographical Information

Junpei Shinoda pitched in Nippon Pro Baseball for 7 years.

Shinoda was drafted by the Hiroshima Carp in the first round of the college & industrial phase in the 2007 NPB draft, and he went 3-4 with a 4.31 in 2008. His ERA was 1.82 in 13 games in 2009, and he was 6-6 with a 4.47 ERA in 2010. Shinoda had a 5-7 record with a 4.13 ERA in 2011, then he went 1-3 with a 4.88 ERA in 2012. Shinoda only pitched one game with the big club in 2013, and he went 3-4 with a 4.70 ERA in 2014. He spent his entire season in the NPB Farm Leagues in 2015, then he announced his retirement.

Overall, Shinoda was 20-26 with a 4.24 ERA, struck out 213 and pitched 391 innings in 7 seasons in NPB.
