Biographical Information

Shortstop Junior Simmonds got into 22 games for the GCL Dodgers as a 17-year-old in 1987. He was 5 for 29 (.172) with two doubles, two walks, five runs and an RBI. He had two errors in 20 chances, backing up Jose Vizcaino and Jose Munoz. That was the extent of his pro career -- but many years later, he was still playing recreationally at home on St. Croix.
