Biographical Information[edit]
Jung-Yi Huang pitched in the CPBL for 2 years.
Huang represented Taiwan in the 1997 World Youth Championship. He was drafted by the Brother Elephants in the 3rd round of the 2006 CPBL Draft, and he had a 3.30 ERA in 19 games in his rookie year. He slumped to a 5.01 ERA in 20 relief outings in 2009, and he pitched a shutout inning in the 2009 Taiwan Series Game 3; the Uni-President Lions beat the Brothers in 7 games. Huang was then banned for life for his role in a game-fixing scandal.
Overall, Huang was 1-0 with a 4.00 ERA, struck out 37 and pitched 78 2/3 innings in 2 seasons in the CPBL.
