Biographical Information[edit]
June Greene appeared in 32 games in the majors, but was in the field for only 6 games, all of those as a pitcher. His other appearances were as a pinch hitter (he went 5 for 20 in the role) and as a pinch runner. He had most of his appearances for the 1929 Philadelphia Phillies, in the year that Lefty O'Doul hit .398 for the team.
Although his real name was Julius, June Greene qualifies for the "all month team", along with Lee May (and 11 other players whose last name was May), Gerald Perry (whose middle name is June), and a whole bunch of players whose first name was August but who were actually called Gus.
