Biographical Information[edit]

Julio Rojas debuted in the Austrian Baseball League in 2003 and has led the league in steals and runs. [1] The Dominican native had obtained Austrian citizenship by 2019, appearing for the Austrian national team in the 2019 European Championship. He debuted in the 9th inning of the opener against Belgium, batting for Felix Zimmerle and drawing a walk from Kenny Vandenbranden. Starting at DH the next game, he was 0 for 3 with a walk (from Esteban Prioul) and a run in a loss to France. After two games off, he started at third base against Spain, going 1 for 3 with a steal, his hit coming off Jorge Balboa. Finally, he pinch-hit for Tobias Schermer in the 8th inning of a win over Great Britain, getting plunked by Greg Hendrix. Richard Alzinger pinch-ran. [2]
