Biographical Information[edit]
Julius Freeman appeared in one game with the St. Louis Browns in 1888. According to the book The Rise of Milwaukee Baseball, St. Louis sold Freeman to Milwaukee for $1,000 shortly before the 1889 season started.
He was Jewish, according to the Sporting News of April 6, 1889.
"Freeman, the Fort South, Ark. (sic) phenomenon, of whom a great deal was said, has been signed . . ." - Sporting Life, February 15, 1888, about Julius Freeman, who had played for Fort Smith, AR the previous year
