Juan Sanchez was a member of the Dominican team in the 1992 Olympics, backing up Elias Olivos at third base and playing DH two games. He went 0 for 12 at the plate but drew 6 walks and was hit by a pitch for a .368 OBP, one of the better marks on the team (team OBP of .316). He scored three runs and drove in one; he tied for second on the club in runs. He had 3 putouts, 6 assists and one error on defense. He tied Andrea Succi and Chad McConnell for 10th in walks at the Barcelona Games.
