Biographical Information[edit]

Juan Guerrero was signed by the Colorado Rockies on July 2, 2018. Signed as a shortstop, he played mostly third base for the Dominican Summer League Rockies in his first professional season, 2019, but also saw action at first base, second base, and all three outfield spots. He slashed .319/.387/.408 in 51 games, and stole 17 bases.

After the minor league shutdown of 2020, he spent 2021 in the Arizona Complex League, getting into 47 games. The only defensive position at which he logged time was left field, and he slashed .318/.394/.500. In fewer at-bats, he collected more extra base hits as he had in 2019. But me made 3 errors in 42 chances and didn't put up good range numbers. However, he did have 3 outfield assists.

He moved up to the class A Fresno Grizzlies for 2022, and again did not appear in an a single game as an infielder. His range numbers improved, as did his fielding percentage, and he had 7 more outfield assists. At the plate, he hit 24 doubles and 14 home runs while slashing .274/.335/.437. He stole 18 bases and drove home 89 runs.

He moved up again for the 2023 season. Still listed as a shortstop on the roster, he has split his time between DH and left field for the Spokane Indians (with three games in right field.) Through May 28, he slashed .278/.356/.456. In that time, he already accumulated 5 triples to go along with 9 doubles and 3 homers.
