Juan Gregorius had a 9.42 ERA in four games for the Netherlands Antilles national team in the 1955 Pan American Games; he was 3 for 10 with a double at the plate. He played for the Antilles in the 1959 Central American and Caribbean Games as well; in that event, he also represented the Antilles in "atletismo" (track and field?) His son Didi Gregorius would later also played for the Netherlands Antilles team as well as in the mainland part of the Netherlands. Juan's grandson Didi Gregorius Jr. would play in the majors and another grandson Johnny Gregorius played for the Netherlands Antilles and in the Netherlands.
