Biographical Information[edit]
Ju-hyeon Jung has been an infielder and outfielder in the Korea Baseball Organization.
Jung was taken by the LG Twins in the 4th round of the 2009 KBO draft. He was 1 for 11 with a homer and 7 whiffs in 2009; he would not homer again in at least six years. He was 2 for 9 with two RBI in 2010, 3 for 18 with 3 walks, six runs and two RBI in 2011 and 4 for 23 with 2 walks, 5 runs and a RBI in 2012. In 2013, he batted .217/.340/.313 in 83 plate appearances (61 games), swiping 10 bases in 14 tries. Through that year, his career batting line was .194/.298/.271 in 108 games (144 plate appearances), scoring 34 runs and driving in 21, with 17 steals in 23 tries.
While serving in the South Korean military (beginning in 2014 with the Sangmu Phoenix baseball team), he represented his country in the 2015 Asian Championship. He played left field and DH, going 6 for 15 with a walk, two runs and two RBI for the Gold Medalists.
