Le Journal de Montréal

Le Journal de Montréal is a newspaper in Montréal, QC and has the largest circulation among French daily newspapers in Canada. The Journal was known for its formula of "sang et sports", coupling extensive and graphic coverage of criminal matters with more sports coverage than any other newspaper in Canada. Seeking a very populist audience, it stands in sharp contrast with the establishment La Presse and the highly cerebral Le Devoir. It covered the Montreal Expos extensively during the team's existence. Rodger Brulotte wrote for the paper in later years. Serge Touchette was the long-time baseball beat writer for the paper.
