Biographical Information[edit]
In 2018, former major league catcher Josh Paul was named bench coach of the Los Angeles Angels. He had previously been a minor league manager in the New York Yankees' organization, as well as the team's minor league catching instructor. While manager Mike Scioscia retired after the season, Paul retained his job under successor Brad Ausmus in 2019. He was let go with Ausmus and Doug White shortly after the season. In 2020, he joined the Detroit Tigers as quality control coach and stayed until the end of the 2022 season.
