Biographical Information[edit]

Shortstop Josh McKinley was selected by the Montreal Expos in the first round of the 1998 amateur draft. He hit .406 for the US junior national team in 1997, second to Austin Kearns. The US won Bronze in the 1997 World Junior Championship. McKinley played third base that summer primarily as Michael Cuddyer manned shortstop.

McKinley played in the minors leagues from 1998 to 2004, the last three seasons at AA.
