Josh Billings (minors)
Joshua L. Billings
Biographical Information[edit]
Pitcher Josh Billings played in the minor leagues in 1913, 1914, 1917 and 1920. With the Texarkana Tigers in 1913, he went 8-4; he followed that with a 16-9 record in 219 innings for the same club in 1914. He also played for the Oklahoma City Boosters (1917), Ranger Nitros (1920) and Cisco Scouts (1920).
The Baseball Reference Bullpen lists him as managing the Cisco Scouts/Orphans in 1921, being replaced by Jimmy Flagg. Baseball-Reference.com lists him as managing the Mineral Wells Resorters/Ballinger Cats for part of that year. Perhaps he managed both.
